Due to the rising popularity and commercialization of the Wynwood Arts District, many artists, art enthusiasts and young professionals have been forced to relocate. The rent prices have risen to unprecedented numbers. A place that was once affordable and nourishing for the artists who created it, has become a place they no longer feel welcome. The Leah Arts District is the answer to these artists dilemma–create a new arts district with fresh walls to lay paint. The murals created along the warehouses in Hialeah are some of the most impressive yet. I love going out here on a Sunday when no one is around and checking out the street art. There are also many antique shops in the area (rare for Miami) for those who enjoy a unique, vintage find.
