The menu - while it's not too complicated - actually has a good number of items on there. Primarily most of the items center around the biscuit. You can build your own, order a sandwich, get some specialty order, order biscuits by themselves or with gravy, or order sides/fries/sweets. And they have drinks and cocktails as well! We of course ordered way too much food.

We built our own pulled pork biscuit for $4 and built another one with egg, cheese, and sausage for a set price as this was apparently a sandwich. The pulled pork biscuit was everybody's least favorite because the sandwich was super dry and tasteless. The biscuits were not too bad, but with that pulled pork - eh, nobody really wanted to eat it.

The egg, cheese, and sausage on a biscuit was pretty good. It reminded me of an Egg McMuffin - only tastier. I liked the melted cheese and the fact that the sausage wasn't too salty. The crumbliness of the biscuits went well with the meat, cheese, and egg. And the egg yolk oozing out after biting into it - that definitely went well with the biscuit.

Reggie Deluxe: $10.5 this was the sandwich everybody said to order, and I can see why! It has fried chicken, bacon, cheese, egg, and choice of gravy (although we didn't get an option to choose). All nestled in-between a freshly baked biscuit. I think I enjoyed this the most because the gravy provided additional texture and softness that meshed well with the egg yolk. After having disappointing fried chicken at Screen Door, I was super ecstatic to find that this fried chicken was what I was hoping for and more. Tasty, juicy, and nicely fried. The whole sandwich became too hard to eat, so we ended up cutting into it and eating it with a fork. Loved this!

I wanted to order the Hash Ups, but I knew it would be too heavy. Instead we ordered the hash browns by themselves for $3. Worth it - a plate of perfectly fried, delightfully golden brown hash that was super crispy and not too salty. I can see why people would love the Hash Ups!

Side Salad $3 - not sure why my sister wanted this, but it was not worth the $3. You get some mixed greens and pickled radishes with a side of vinaigrette. These greens aren't typically what you want in a salad - maybe something that garnishes another dish? Would not recommend at all.

And a small side of plain fries for $2. Nicely fried and I could taste the freshness of the potatoes. But I wouldn't order this if it were up to me - only because I'd rather get another biscuit or hash browns.

tl;dr - HIGHLY recommend Pine State Biscuits if you're in Portland. I loved the Reggie Deluxe as well as the hash browns. I'd try the Hash Ups or just some plain biscuits with their jams and apple butter. I really wanted some apple butter with biscuits, but we already had so much food. If you're a fan of brunch, ooey-gooey egg yolks, and delicious food, I think you'll love Pine State Biscuits.

Portland is one of my favorite city to visit every year. I'm excited to be back next weekend. Yay!

Must get Reggie Deluxe!! So damn good!

This time, I might try the Wedgie that comes with fried chicken, fried green tomato, a wedge iceberg lettuce and house blue cheese dressing. Sound mighty delicious.

I'm sure whatever you order here will be satisfying. Make sure to come early to beat the crowd or wait in line. It will still be worth it.

I hope you give this place a try. Cheers!

We looked up for the most reviewed restaurant/breakfast place in Portland and Pine State Biscuits showed up.

The line can be a little intimidating but I don't think you wait more than 15 min. Everyone comes here to start their day right. Pine State Biscuits is known for their biscuits. I like how they have vegetarian dishes as well marked with a (V). As everywhere in Portland, many places and businesses are very healthy, hipster and eco-friendly. I just hoped people who work at Pine State Biscuits would challenge themselves and try to cook/fry/prepare every meal with less...way less oil. Less greasy is healthier.

I loved the biscuits here. If you're picturing biscuits that you can find at multitude of chain restaurants, these biscuits are bigger than those, and they do have some good and interesting sounding options for biscuit sandwiches for breakfast or brunch. Like many other breakfast places, this place can get busy, with the line stretching down the street.

Came here on a Saturday morning/afternoon and waited in line for maybe about 30 min. Ordered the Reggie deluxe and it was delicious. Small but hardy. There's also a small garden and juice place next door that you can hit up after

This place gets a lot of hype and most of it is true. Heaps of comfort food for a reasonable price. I suggest the shrimp and grits and the loaded hash browns.

Heard good things about this place. Crowded on a Fri AM. My breakfast sandwich was good but I heard it would have been better with the gravy. Hot chocolate was very good. Best part of my experience there.
