Service is good, complimentary breakfast is definitely a plus and the convention center is within walking distance. Great place to stay for comic con.
This is such a great hotel. The employees are truly wonderful! They're friendly, knowledgeable and super nice. The rooms are clean and those pillows! So fluffy! You do have to pay for valet parking, which is a bummer, but it is nice not having to find a parking spot in the middle of the city. I especially loved that our room had a beautiful view of the water!
What can you say....suite, free happy hour, free breakfast. Love staying here, right across from Seaport Village and not a bad walk to Petco park. Pool and jacuzzi area indoors so that is just so so. Great value for the money
The Embassy Suites is a visually impressive 4-star hotel, but that appeal is also reflected in the price.
The first thing you'll notice is the the atrium-style 20-story-high lobby. Every room, all the way up, opens to an open-air center with glass elevators cantilevered out over the space. While it is breath-taking, especially if you are standing at the top, or even sitting in the dining area at the bottom, it does not add much to your stay except a sense of grandeur.
The rooms were nice, and set-up in a true suite style (hence their clever name), that will add a lot of functionality if you are spending a lot of time in the room, or expecting guests. The rooms are otherwise on-par with 4-star expectations.
The free buffet breakfast, and free cocktail hour (for 2 hours each night) adds a lot of value for anyone staying on the company dime, but, if you are visiting on your own the perks may not offset the somewhat steep booking price (and remember, in any hotel downtown, you can pretty much step out the door and have a myriad of amazing dining and socializing options).
Stayed here last month. Some renovations going on. Can only choose valet parking, fee outrageous for customers paying to stay here. However, nice free breakfast and free drinks for a couple hours in the evening.
The Embassy Suites in dowtown is really a very nice hotel! If you are traveling with a family or a big group, there are alot of benefits to staying here (which is why my parents continue to return). Firstly, these are real suites, meaning a door in between the two rooms; very spacious indeed and snorer friendly :) Secondly, there is free breakfast including fresh fruit, all the eggs etc., and an omelette counter where they make it your way. Thirdly, free manager reception Happy Hour! You really can't beat free drinks and appetizers before you head out for the evening. Had to put in my plug for the Embassy Suites in honor of dad, so there ya go!
This Embassy Suites is right near the water front, within walking distance of the Convention Center, the Midway Carrier and the Gaslamp Quarter. This is a larger Embassy Suites, with 12 stories, and connected to it is a full Starbucks and the Pacific Fish Company restaurant. It is well maintained, with the usual Embassy Suites comforts of a large 2 room suite, kingsize bed with 5 pillows, free breakfast every morning, and free cocktails in the evening.
