Really nice but to go to on a weekday afternoon because there won't be any people. Sometimes if you go on weekday early afternoons there will be student tours in the area and inside the museum. Take frequent rests across the museum because it is a very large building with multiple floors and make sure to grab a guide when you're paying for your tickets on basement one. The rooftop is also really nice architecture and every time I visit this museum I tend to go the opposite way visiting the galleries of the top first and then slowly going down up until I reach the interesting curio shop at the first floor together with the three or four coffee shops just beside the back entrance

This new museum is located in the historic Supreme Court building and the architects have done an excellent job of integrating it into the space. The collection here is a refreshing mix of paintings by Southeast Asian artists about the region. The Vietnamese ink drawings of the Vietnam War and the oil paintings depicting early colonialism from a local perspective were thought provoking and unlike anything I have seen in the West.

Converted from the former City Hall and Supreme Court buildings in Singapore and it houses an impressive collection of Singapore and South east Asia art. Perhaps even more impressive than the art of display are the interiors and architectural details within. You can often find people admiring the gorgeous rotunda domes and glass features. There are art galleries catered to those of all ages, with even one just for children, the Keppel Centre for Art Education. There are also several restaurants located within the gallery for you to take a break after browsing through the various art and galleries.

It's definitely worth a go if you're a history buff or just looking to explore. The store inside mainly sells products from local indie brands and authors, mostly unknown. There's also free entry for locals.

Please go!! It's really worth it to take a walk here and soak in the amazing views, and see the amazing architecture. One of the few places in Singapore to appreciate and breathe in great art.

In downtown’s Neoclassical former City Hall and Supreme Court buildings, the Singapore National Gallery will showcase a vast collection of 19th- and 20th-century Southeast Asian art. In fact, the $530 million project is angling to become the region’s premier art destination, similar in size to Madrid’s Prado and Paris’s Musée d’Orsay. The interiors promise to be as exquisite as the exteriors, with galleries in former courtrooms, while rooftop gardens feature reflecting pools.
