Common Man Coffee Roasters is packed during the weekends, with pumping music, a coffee counter like a bar and coffee lovers who seem to be the usual Robertson Quay type.
I decided I had enough of the usual poached eggs with bacon and sausage and went for the Organic Eggs Benedict ($26) with two poached eggs on top of tender braised ox cheeks and lightly toasted artisanal sourdough toast.
These eggs oozed, and Oh-my-goodness, the combination with the rich melting tender-licious cheeks makes Common Man’s version a class of their own. After taking the first bite, I told myself “This is possibly one of the best eggs ben I had in Singapore”.
The coffee they serve is also commendable.
Good brunch place around Robertson Quay. I had the pancakes and I enjoyed it very much. I like the nutty crunch garnish they’ve put on top. It added the right amount of sweetness to the pancakes.
A place with a cool vibe where you can enjoy amazing food and coffee. I’d suggest the Veggie Wonderland for brunch! A bit pricy though (expect to pay a minimum of 30SGD)
