Views are breathtaking
Only gripe was sofa beds not made up on arrival at 1am so after a long day we had to dismantle into two beds and make them up…. But were properly made up for us the following day with sheets so was ok.
A visit to marina is definitely worth it and a private boat trip with unlimited beer and sangria with Helenenautic on get your guide is a must!!!!!! Teenagers loved fishing and swimming in the sea.
Plenty of sunbeds by mid morning still. Busier at weekends with weddings which are nice to see also.
Buffet breakfasts are fantastic as choice of so much!
Overall value for money and lovely and clean! Would recommend!

Great hotel
apartments have everything you need and more! Washing up liquid and sponge, shampoo and shower gel etc. slightly on the smaller side but was fine for us
Travel cot was there for our 9 month old all set up for arriving. Staff were all absolutely lovely. Kids club at night was great my little girl loved it.
Pool area was lovely and plenty of beds! We missed entertainment at pool but I think we were so early in the season it hadn’t properly started yet! I would suggest some music at pool in May though.
Me, my husband and parents all loved it and would highly recommend it! I would definitely book this hotel again!

Good for families, not so much for a relaxing couples holiday
We just wanted to say that we had a great holiday but there we're a few points that could improve the hotel.
The staff we're really friendly and welcoming throughout our stay.
The other guests seems to be a bit noisy and rowdy and most times of day.
Good points:
- staff friendly and welcoming.
- air con great.
- supermarket had a great selection of snacks, breakfast pastries etc.
- rooms were well equipped with fridge, oven, nice bathroom with shower.
- location was really good.
- Luggage room and shower area - Great area and thankful to use this due to our late flight home.
Point to improve on:
- Noise curfew - It didn't matter what time of night, the bar area and pool area was really noisy especially at night. We even had kids playing on our floor at 12am making a lot of noise.
We would recommend the hotel putting some signs up to say to please be quiet from certain times.
- Bed - The bed wasn't very comfy and also squeaked a lot when turning over. Would recommend the beds replacing for a better experience.
- Pool - The pool wasn't very warm so you needed to brave yourself getting in. Maybe add pool heating and add a little bit more onto the hotel cost?
- Food - On the last day we checked out and sat in the bar area at around 5pm. We were going to get some food but was told that they don't open until 7pm. Maybe opening the kitchen earlier and having a bit more selection will earn more profit for the hotel.
Overall we had a great holiday and would recommend stopping at the hotel if you get a good deal.
Personally think this hotel is more for families would maybe like a good drink.
Just a few points which hopefully the hotel takes on board to make it better.

Thank you for sharing your feedback to take on board. I will be sure to pass on these points to the management team . Regarding the food at the bar, there is only a snack menu in the evening as you mention, but La Terraza Restaurant on the 1st floor serves food all day! Sorry you missed this.

Stay away
We have a 1 bedroom prime sea view apartment l which is so tight you can hardly get the stroller in the bedroom door and we had to rearrange furniture to make space for the few bags we had never mind the musty smell that hit us when entered the room. The rooms are old and dated with some furniture such as a chest of drawers hidden in the storage closet. The bedroom is only separated from the living area with sliding shutters which in my eyes is hardly acceptable as a 1 bedroom apartment.
The bathroom follows an even tighter layout than the bedroom (again with only a sliding shutter as speciation) which is some achievement coupled with no hot water this morning, not exactly what you would expect after paying €1500 for 7 nights. Next is the kitchenette which nearly caused a serious incident with our 2 year old shortly after we arrived. There is no mains switch on the wall for the oven so our son like any 2 year old was pressing the buttons on the over and actually turned it on without us noticing leading to him almost scolding his hands on the hot oven door which is surely not compliant with health and safety given the heat from it.
The WiFi is almost non existent with us constantly moving around to try and find 1 bar of coverage.
Further to our above experience the noise levels at night time is severe with very little sleep been got before 1pm due to moving furniture and heavy footsteps from the apartment above along with the music a noise from weddings (which seems to be a daily occurrence). I don’t understand how a family advertised hotel caters for this.
The lift service is painful. To say it’s quicker take your toddlers up 14 flights of stairs is no where near exaggerating, this coupled with the slippery and over congested pool area where I saw at least 6 children fall and crack there heads off the ground is extremely concerning and it’s still only May.
Service in the pool bar is slow. We waited close to an hour today for a bowl of nachos. This coupled with an expensive trip to the ice cream stand where we paid €18 for two kids scoops of ice cream and two cold coffees.
Disappointed and disgusted we wasted our hard earned money on this let down.

I appreciate your comments about the oven in the apartment and although we don't have a specific button to switch the oven off from the wall, I understand that one of our duty managers did offer to have the oven disconnected by our maintenance team, in the hope that you would be more at ease.
Our hotel mainly caters for familities at this time of year and some noise is inevitable. That being said, we have protocols in place ensure noise levels are kept to an acceptable level and encourage all guests who experience these issues to contact reception so that we can send security to deal with the offending parties.
Your comments about the pool area being slippery have been passed on to our facilities manager so that he can look into this immediately. The pool areas are repainted every year at the start of the season and the surface should not be slippery under normal conditions of use.
Whilst I'm sorry you feel let down, we do understand that Sunset Beach Club may not be the ideal hotel for everyone and that is why we had no issue in returning the money for the remaining days you did not use. I must also add that our duty manager and General Manager both did their best to address your concerns as it's our priority to try and ensure our guests are happy. I apologise again for not meeting your expectations.
