We did not stay in the hotel we booked we got there and were told it was closed for renovations. The one we stayed close to the castle. So

Well placed

Mold smell in the bedroom, dirty traces on walls and doors, damaged walls... The owners love each other very much we see them everywhere!!! Very disappointed by the breakfast not up to the price considering all the hotels we do!
Cruel lack of maintenance and cleaning!

Confusion!

When I arrived at the hotel, the doors were closed. It took me a few minutes to understand that it was really closed, with no one and I saw that I had a warning to contact by phone. I called and was directed to another hotel in the same network and they said they had sent an email informing about the change. But I was on vacation, with the hotels booked, and I didn't even think about keeping track of my emails. Anyway, I lost time with all this mess.

pleasant stay in Carcassonne

very nice welcome, room consistent with the description.
The only downside is the breakfast which at the price of 15 euros deserves to be a buffet, to allow a more varied choice, and to everyone s taste.. to improve especially if you stay several days

Small hotels often provide the best experiences, and this one was no exception.

We rented two rooms at Hôtel L'Octroi, and everyone enjoyed the stay. Small hotels often provide the best experiences, and this one was no exception.
From the friendly staff to the nicely set breakfast and vibrant pop art decor, there was nothing to complain about. The location is also very convenient, with parking just a few meters from the entrance.
On our checkout day, while waiting for our friends to return from Avignon, the attendant graciously invited us to relax in the lobby. When we offered to pay for our coffee, she surprised us by saying it was on the house!
I’ll definitely choose this hotel again on my next trip to Carcassonne.
