Good.

A little hard to find but the owner informed us on the phone. Welcome back. Spacious bedroom and bathroom. Breakfast "French" correct. Good baguette, pastries, yogurt, and fruit. Not many restaurants nearby and they close early. You must go to Amboise or Tours (about 14 km in both cases).

Great stay in garden cottage

The bamboo cottage is in the garden and is very well appointed inside with everything you could want. Very clean and comfortable. Good continental breakfast in the main house. WiFi only available in main house. Would definitely recommend

A little treasure!

Desperate to find somewhere to stay near Tours we came across this little treasure 15km outside the city. A lovely drive along the Loire experiencing the small villages en route and then to our destination. The Moulin Garnier. We were greeted enthusiastically at the gate which was secure with code for guests. A gorgeous running Watermill and lovely tidy gardens with clean good sized pool. perfect for cooling off. We were in an add on part of the main house, window next to mill. Although the watermill continued 24/7 the sound was almost comforting and did not disturb me us anyway. The rooms simply but traditionally furnished with towels and bathroom nextdoor. Beds comfortable. Breakfast, simple but nicely presented as was the rest of the house. Clean, friendly. Perfect for stopping whilst exploring an extraordinary area. B

So tranquil and beautiful - rooms top quality and stylish

I chose this hotel because of the photos on its website - lovely swimming pool, fully functioning mill making a lovely sound as it turns in the water, top quality styling of rooms (named and probably styled after chateaux of the Loire Valley). I'm so sad to say that we arrived so late that we didn't get to relax in such beautiful gardens. I would describe the accommodation as very dignified - there was no TV in the bedroom, but there is a lovely sitting/TV room on the first floor for guests to use. I liked the way they organise breakfast around a huge wooden table that seats about 12-16.It was interesting meeting guests from all over Europe. I found myself speaking French to an Italian lady (and not even realising she wasn't French!!). When she started speaking to me in English, I guess she wasn't as easily fooled as I was!!! Anyway, if you want a lovely place to stay as you're touring around (with a small farmers' market in the local town on the Friday morning) then I cant recommend this hotel highly enough. The only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is because I felt a bit disappointed by the breakfast - I suppose it was a traditional French breakfast but not massively plentiful and the choice was limited (unless you love homemade preserves).
