A Gem in Amsterdam

The staff is incredibly welcoming and helpful. They all made an already great property even better. The hotel location is walking distance to most everything and the restaurant and bar on site are top notch. The bar/library area was cosy and provided a great spot to eat and unwind at the end of the day.

Dutch hospitality at its best

Perfect and cosy premium hotel in Amsterdam, very central and with tastefully furbished and spacious room. Great breakfast and fine restaurant. Staff extremely helpful and charming. Will definitely go there again, both business and leisure.

A MUST STAY

If you are planning a trip to Amsterdam - definitely book your accommodations at the Ambassade Hotel. The location along the canal was perfect! Our room which had a canal view was amazing! The room was very clean and the bed comfy.
The breakfast was delicious that included freshly made eggs to order!
The hotel also offered restaurant suggestions which we utilized. Both were excellent choices and within walking distance!
The staff was very friendly and greeted you with a smile. They even helped us with our luggage- a nice touch!!
The only issue we had was the bar service one night. The bartender basically ignored us giving his attention to a large party of six. We eventually settled our tab (4 drinks) with the front desk. Regardless of this - this hotel deserves 5 stars.
Highly recommend this hotel! Book your stay now!!!

The most delightful hotel in Amsterdam….

I’ve known the Ambassade since living nearby 40 years ago and have stayed there several times in recent years. To me, it simply cannot get any better: lovely rooms in perfect condition, most with enchanting views; excellent staff at every level; the best location in town; and really terrific food for all the major meals. We just spent 10 nights there for a festival at the Concertgebouw, and the staff helped us arrange a number of unique events, including a birthday dinner on a small, 1920’s canal boat that was truly sublime. I am a huge fan of the Ambassade and will certainly be back.

Luxury, Service and Best Location!

This was my second stay at Ambassade Hotel. I stayed there 8 years ago with my daughter, and when I returned in May 2025 with my husband, they greeted us warmly and there was a nice note and a bottle of wine in the room! Everything here is first class; the bed and sheets were so comfortable. The service is great, and the location can't be beat. There is a library with a bartender if you want a cocktail or a cup of tea at the end of the day. We had breakfast at the hotel only once, but it was great.
Highly recommend!
