Vitaminas - a wonderfully cool and bespoke beach stay in Punta Del Este

If you’re looking for something more original and unique we would highly recommend Vitaminas. A hip high-end café / restaurant serving up the best savoury plates, cakes and coffee on Playa Emir! Tucked secretly away behind this are five white-washed studios, each with a small terrace. Secluded from the prevailing winds of the Atlantic Ocean they offer a welcome retreat. Step inside the studio and you’re turning the clock back to the late 1960’s with 21st century mod-cons. Every detail has been carefully thought off here, from the soft mood lighting, yoga mats, and an audio-entertainment system which features a wonderful record player (with built in USB) and a collection of vintage vinyl records! The bathroom is simple but has everything you need, although this is designed with couples in mind rather than a family, although our studio was big enough to cater for an additional guest. Set behind the studios is a communal swimming pool, sun terrace and loungers. This is a perfect sun trap and if you prefer cooling off in a pool rather than the sea this is the ideal place to take a refreshing swim!
Finally, what makes Vitaminas is the team! We arrived quite late around 9pm to check-in. Clo and her wonderful hosts made us feel at home immediately, offering us a late dinner and a great Uruguayan organic wine. We felt relaxed immediately. Breakfast the next morning was delicious - and did I mention they serve the best coffee ;) if you’re looking for a stay which offers something a bit different from the norm this is the place!

Excellent!!!

A beautiful place with sea view and delicious food!! The attention of 10!!! All very helpful, efficient and friendly (Lucia is a sun!!!) The coffee is delicious and very well prepared. They have rooms available so we stayed there. Everything great!! The breakfast super!! 3 blocks from the bus terminal, ideal for walking the peninsula (beach brava, meek beach, emir beach a few steps). Super quiet and safe. Recommended without a doubt!!

Employee Sofia was derogatory

Dear Vitamins Beach House and Coffee Manager,
Today, April 27, I visited the cafe with my family. The place caught our attention from the outside for its beauty, organization and welcoming atmosphere, which motivated us to enter and know the space. Unfortunately, however, the experience we had was extremely disappointing and frustrating because of the unacceptable conduct of employee Sofia, who demonstrated a complete lack of preparation and capacity to serve the public.
We ordered two espresso coffees that were served with less than 1/4 cup full and extremely concentrated. Kindly pointing out that they were too strong and asking for them to be prepared again with an adequate proportion of water (taking up most of the cup, as is often served), Employee Sofia responded hostilely, raising the tone of voice and taking a reactive attitude, without even listening to what we were requesting.
I personally approached to try to resolve the situation calmly, but was greeted aggressively. Sofia simply handed me a container of hot water and ordered me to complete the cup myself. I explained that that was not what we wanted, I asked for a new coffee to be prepared or for the purchase to be cancelled. With a sarcastic and rude attitude, he withdrew the coffee and completed it with hot water, against our will and without respecting our order.
Faced with this disrespectful treatment and unprofessionalism, we decided to withdraw without consuming the products, even though we had already paid for them. My whole family witnessed the moment and felt deeply uncomfortable and abused. At no time were we provided friendly or empathetic treatment.
I record this as a call to management to take urgent action on the attitude of this employee, who does not demonstrate the emotional preparation or training necessary to work with the public. The customer experience should be a priority in any establishment, and attitudes like this seriously compromise the image of the place and scare visitors away.
I look forward to a response on the actions that will be taken. I believe in the potential of space, but situations like this cannot be ignored.

Bad treatment of the owner

Worst place I've ever gone in the whole eastern tip. Lousy attention from the owner. It was really bad my experience and I consider it the worst place I have known so far I came from the table where I was right away that I finished eating because I had more reservations , I liked the food and I could not even drink the coffee. I consider the place to be nice but super poorly organized and with a lady who does not know how to deal with the public. Caused me a lot of repudiation.

Unmissable boutique beachfront hotel

An amazing boutique hotel worth visiting when you are in Punta del Este.
It is small, personalized, with excellent service. Remarkable the presence of Arcadio who contributed with a high level service to our stay.
The room very comfortable simple, rich shower, rich bed and also has a record player with classic records that we enjoyed very much.
The food is amazing as well and can be a good panorama of just going to lunch there and enjoying the sea view.
It's worth it.
