Enjoy NOLA at Le Pavillon

Le Pavillon will make you feel right at home in New Orleans in a luxurious, comfortable room. The beautiful lobby welcomes you with the lovely architecture, crystal chandeliers, and smooth jazz music. I stayed 4 nights in room 627, a standard King room, which had 12ft ceilings, a very soft and plush king bed, a desk and chair, dresser, large smart TV, and mini fridge. (A microwave is available for use in the lobby.) The closet large closet provided a luggage rack and two bathrobes. The beautiful bathroom offered plush towels, excellent shower products, and a walk in shower with great water pressure. The nightly PB&J bar was such a fun treat before (or after) a night out in New Orleans. The crown jewel of this experience is the staff at La Pavillon. Everyone from the front desk, to housekeeping, to maintenance, and food service were all intentional, thoughtful, kind, and joyful. They truly love their work, their beautiful New Orleans, and they desire to make you feel at home and relaxed. Paula at the front desk was especially wonderful. She went out of her way to ensure my stay was as seamless as possible when I encountered an issue with the work credit card used for the reservation. Every time she saw me in the lobby she would kindly check in to see if there was a way she could assist with my stay. The customer service alone at this hotel makes it worth the stay. I’ll certainly return in the future for a personal stay to reexplore the city at Le Pavillon.

Hi Holidayna4,
Thank you for taking the time to share such a heartfelt and detailed reflection of your stay with us. It's incredibly rewarding to know that your experience captured the warmth, charm, and character we aim to provide every guest who walks through our doors.
We’re especially proud to hear how our team, and Paula in particular, made a lasting impression. She embodies the spirit of Southern hospitality we cherish, and we’ll be sure to share your kind words with her and the rest of our team.
And we’re so glad you enjoyed our nightly PB&J tradition—it's been a beloved part of Le Pavillon since 1988, offering a sweet and nostalgic way to end the day. It’s one of our favorite ways to share a little bit of comfort and community with our guests.
We truly look forward to welcoming you back on your next trip—whether for work or a well-deserved personal getaway.

Floor 6 rooms are extremely hot

Do NOT stay on a high floor unless you like being hot. Rooms are unbelievably hot! My colleague and I were both on Floor 6. He called maintenance and eventually had to be moved to a lower floor. They stated that the hotel is old and the upper floors do get hot. They put a governor on the room AC. Can’t go below 65 but doesn’t matter. Could be set to 45 and make zero impact. Room didn’t get less than 78 degrees in May I guarantee you. I stayed in my room and only averaged a couple of hours sleep per night on a 2 night stay. If it was longer I would have switched hotels.
The hotel itself is in a great location, is clean, and the staff is extremely nice. Stay there in winter probably with no issue. If you need a hot room, this place is the place for you.

Nice location, nice hotel, sub par service

This hotel is lovely and the staff are friendly but the service is sub par. Our room never got stocked on a daily basis without numerous calls…ie, coffee, soaps, towels etc. If they had Attention to detail could make this a higher rating hotel.

Below Average

I booked a king suite and found out that I received a double when I entered the room. When we spoke to front desk, we were told that "it is Marriot who controls the accommodations for guests". So if the hotel is sold out for the room that you wanted, they will still take your reservation and put you where they have room. I asked to be told if the hotel had any King rooms available and we never got a call... We stayed from Monday- Thursday. We made our way to the elevator where there was a smear of a sticky substance across the floor number buttons. That smear remained there for my 4 day stay. The rooms hadn't been refreshed for a guest meaning: there were stains on the curtains, doors and carpets. The plumbing in the bathroom was not working correctly. I had to hold the "flusher" down on the toilet for at least 5 seconds otherwise your "waste" would remain afloat. Hot water did not last longer enough for two people to shower back to back. Soap dispenser pump did not work correctly and it also was full of soap scum build up. Bathroom was the size of a closet, VERY SMALL. The beds were very small so my fiancé and I HAD to sleep in separate beds otherwise one of us would fall off. I am a petite woman and my fiancé is less than 200lbs. The tv was on the smaller side and did not work right the first night of our stay... When the engineer came to fix it, we were told that WE had it on the wrong input... The hotel doesn't offer much for a rooms that were $200+ dollars a night.. Didn't get a chance to experience any of the food there... Experience was very underwhelming & I would not recommend to anyone. I am typically a Hilton girly, but tried to book Marriot for a change, as this was a hotel that my fiancé had been wanting to experience. I did write a review via Marriot/ Le Pavillion and all I received was acknowledgement and wishes that we would come back soon. I was charged for the room and an additional fee for incidentals. Very disappointed in the stay. Next time I will book the Virgin Hotels ( as we stayed there before) or The Hyatt- The Eliza Jane.

Another New Orleans icon gone!

Well, there goes another New Orleans icon purchased by a major corporation. Have been staying at La Pavillon hotel for 30 years and was always impressed with the old Southern charm and hospitality. Immediately, upon arrival to new desk, was informed that room was not ready. No biggie right. You are in New Orleans, have a cocktail. Asked if we could check our bags, told to go see Steve. When asked where Steve was, pointed toward front door. Finally found Steve who while checking our bags to security, we were informed that room was ready. Unchecked bags, walked to front desk which now had an enormous line, where we were told room was not ready and we should sit and wait until informed. Now, flagged over as room was now ready. Get to front desk, again informed that it would be a few minutes and they would bring key over which of course they did not. My wife finally went back to desk where key was ready and was informed that they were extremely busy. 40 minutes of wasted time. I can assure you that this would have never happened with the former management of La Pavillon Hotel, but then welcome to corporate America.

Hi Richard01-20,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience—and for being a loyal guest of Le Pavillon over the past 30 years. Your long-standing connection to the hotel is something we value deeply, and we genuinely regret that your recent visit did not reflect the warm and seamless hospitality you’ve come to expect from us.
We understand how frustrating it can be to start your stay with confusion and delays, especially at a property with such a legacy of gracious service. While transitions can bring about change, what should never be lost is the heart and charm that made Le Pavillon special to begin with. Your feedback is an important reminder of that, and we take it to heart.
Please know your comments have been shared with our leadership team to ensure that these missteps are addressed and that the guest experience remains rooted in the tradition and care that brought you back year after year. We’re committed to honoring the history and spirit of Le Pavillon, even as we evolve.
We would love the opportunity to welcome you back and restore your confidence in us. Thank you again for your honesty and for being a part of our story.
Warm regards,
Le Pavillon Hotel, New Orleans, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel
