No worries.

Were two for one night at Motel One. Nice and clean room & bathroom, perfect location!, good breakfast and nice staff, parking can be around the corner in an underground garage for 12€ per day. Priced for the location also okay. The only downside is that the room is very small, little space to run and it is very viewable. But we were able to live with it well and were very satisfied. I'd love to go again.

A clean, comfortable and friendly hotel in an excellent location for exploring the beautiful old city of Freiburg. I would be very happy to stay here again. The room is fairly small, but there’s plenty of room for what is needed.

Friendly staff, great location

The location of the hotel is very good, you can explore the city center wonderfully on foot. The lobby and breakfast area are cozy and stylish, both for breakfast and for working. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was very good. A reason to come back, the next time you visit Freiburg!

Average hotel price

Easily accessible, nice house, cozy bar, relaxed atmosphere at breakfast.
Overpriced. I could not see what justifies 151 € room rate. Room slightly dingy. Staff partly moderately friendly. Service in the bar not optimal.

A no words..... experience... unfortunately not positive.. still waiting to hear ....

No words... non empathetic non existing customer service. We arrived from Munich Dec 21st, only staying one night, unpacked all our gifts (approx 10-15 bags), booked two rooms (we have always a big fan of the Motel One Chain), we brought all the bags upstairs into our room, the next morning at 7 am went down to check out, have breakfast. My husband was busy loading all bags into the car. The bags contained high value items. Dec 22nd to the Dec 23 we spendt in Switzerland. Upon our return to Munich Dec 23rd in the afternoon we realised that two bags were missing. We then immediatley inquired if the bags were found. Nothing. I then asked for the recording of the security camera. The hotel informed us that all data is being deleted after three days. So, Dear Motel One, we are in a dilemma. We would love to continue to talk in a positive way about your hotel and use it in the future. How can you help us to do that? The minimum would be to offer free drinks, a dinner for two (which does not cost you anything, let us be clear here). The value stolen at your property amounts to 2000 Euro. I had emailed you. My husband had emailed you. Perhaps you had suggest a refund of the two rooms as a gesture of goodwill which I have not seen.. my mistake then.. we are still waiting to hear from you... once the matter is settled in a positive way... we are happy to write a positive review... waiting.... so far no apologies.. no offer how to balance this experience out....

Thank you for your review.
However, your review surprises us very much!
You contacted us two days after your departure regarding the missing bag. At that time, you were not yet sure where it had disappeared or at what point it was no longer in your possession.
We were happy to take care of this matter directly, checked video surveillance in our hotel and gave you appropriate feedback. Unfortunately, we could not find any abnormalities. We did not receive an answer from you until five days later. Now you had been totally sure that it must have been theft and that the bag had been stolen while loading the car.
However, since you have loaded your car not on our property, but rather on public land, there are no other video surveillances and our possibilities were limited.
In the event of a theft on public property, you should inform the local police directly. This is what we recommended you twice. Why did you not do that?
It's a pity that you do not mention the four emails we have sent to you and the five calls you did not answer. We have not received any response from you to the last email either.
Admittedly, in the meanwhile we have received three negative reviews from you.
Why is the value of the stolen bag in this review (2.000 €) much higher than in your email (1.500 €)?
Moreover, we do not understand for what reason you expect a compensation of your stay.
The bag has not been stolen in our hotel or on our ground.
Please be so kind and tell us for what we can apologise for?
Why do you associate the theft with our hotel chain and with your experience in our hotel?
We are always ready to help you, even if it is a matter what does not concern the hotel directly.
As you do not answer our calls and our emails, we are not able to help you.
If we can be of further assistance do not hesitate to contact us.
