Home port Baltic Sea, Heringsdorf,4 stars, but not again
Heringsdorf was nice, the air, the sea, the walks we took, the food/breakfast included and the nice service staff.
The hotel unfortunately not like that. It's getting old, the dining room in the "basement."
You can't see anything from the sea and the surrounding area because no windows.
We were suggested that we have booked a renovated room, with sea views.
From the balcony we saw the sea, but behind privacy screens, with a view of the parking garage - because cars drove up below us, the exhaust fumes streamed up to us.
Apart from the fact that we did not get a parking space in the parking garage, because with a tiny mouse click we were told there was no parking space available.
At the welcome a young employee was there, welcomed us , after 6.5h drive, very nicely, but we did not know when breakfast was given, what else you can do with the spa card everything, where is the special conservatory, with which you advertised on social media and possibly.
To the room:
The bathroom, which has also had its best days (shower and toilet ), the curtains in the room, which were not equipped with a stopper and thus in the dark you accidentally pulled out the curtains, and then found a foreign hair in the bed and on the floor, the beds we made, at least the blankets folded together - but accurate and sometimes the sheets smoothed - misrepresentation (4 stars....) etc.
We addressed it the next day if there was a contingent because we had booked through "Booking". We were assured that there were no specific rooms because they had booked through a platform. When asked if there was another room, we were told "no room available."
You had to come up with another solution - e.g. with the price to meet something (mind you 625 euros for 3 (!) Nights) . We've been told there won't be much hope for that.
Buffet:
It tasted good.
Here and there used to be signs about what to eat, but not consistently (Which bread/buns, which cereals/cereals..?!), no bowls for cream cheese and salads.
Savings area:
We were looking forward to a few days of spa and massages. Misrepresentation.
IF you reached someone at the back counter (in the 4 days 1x), because the therapist was not in the treatment, then there were already other hotel guests. And "big pool landscape".... Haha.
There were guests with suitcases, jackets, dogs and children walking by because that was the access to the elevator. God knows you can't relax there. Photos to follow.
Even the smell early in the morning, if you wanted for breakfast, of chlorine... All in all very unattractively solved.
We made the most of it and were preferably outside. Too bad, but not to change.

Demand and reality are far apart here...
Usedom was wintry, especially as there was still a Christmas market on the beach with some attractions...
However, the hotel is very old. What you could notice here and there. The hotel is located on the beach.
The service on New Year's Eve was mostly overwhelmed with the hotel guests, seemed stressed and unfortunately unfriendly for the most part. A relaxing stay was unfortunately not given by this.
Unfortunately, we cannot recommend the half board booked for this either. Partly the food was far from 4 star superior and resembled a completely different level.
We probably would have eaten much better in the neighboring gastronomy...
We also mentioned this personally at the hotel, but you seem quite complacent with your own performance. Too bad, because unfortunately it didn't convince us at all.
After many years in comparable hotels, we regret to say that this one for the first time has NOT met the 4 star superior.
Usedom gladly again at any time, but the place we unfortunately cannot recommend.
Unfortunately, ambition and reality do not go together and have not been able to meet our expectations. It's a shame.

Nice hotel with great food in need of improvement.
My biggest mistake was probably that I booked two half boards for us. Dinner tonight was an absolute disaster. The cod breaded in the walnut coat was a finished product which was cooked through. Hard and dry, so inedible. The dumplings were also finished products from the bag. So the main course is impossible. The summit was provided by dessert. Also a purchased finished product. What was called caramelized were huge pieces of solid sugar that could not be consumed.
Taking a not insignificant price for this as half board is unworthy of a hotel with 4 stars.
I stayed at the hotel a lot when it was still Maritim. I haven't seen anything like it. I'm curious to see what breakfast will be like tomorrow.
I would like to note that all the staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful. But they can't help the very questionable competence of the kitchen. Too bad, because for larger meetings etc. I can not include this hotel in my considerations0.

Price-performance deficit despite good location
Pros: The location and the new renovated rooms. Equally truly commendable the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff. Highlight the rooftop pool.
Unfortunately negative: the hotel is a single maze. A few more signs would certainly help. The restaurant and the reception area have unfortunately not only stopped in the 90s, it is also unfortunately very dingy. Stains in the carpet and basically worn out.
Big problem with parking in the area. There are a few in the hotel but that is not very many.
The price-performance ratio is somehow not right anymore.
If maybe everything is renovated, this hotel could be recommended again.
