Great Value for Money

Previous reviews had sounded promising, so we booked the Mantra, although we normally prefer to stay in the city centre. However, since inner city transport in Perth is free, we decided to give the hotel a go, especially since it was very well priced. We had booked a one bedroom apartment, but were upgraded to two bedrooms, one of them next to the bathroom, the other adjacent to the kitchen/lounge. The place seemed huge, ideal if you are travelling with family. While the furniture could be called a bit dated, everything was clean and functional. The bathroom was on the small side, with a shower that was a bit temperamental temperature-wise. The tiles were a bit slippery.
On the ground floor, but not part of the hotel, was a Chinese restaurant with a very diverse menu. You could dine in or take-away. Across the road was a bottle shop and across the other side a coffee shop with reasonably priced breakfast and lunch options.
While the bus stop outside the hotel is currently not operational, you only need to go one block down to Adelaide Terrace to catch a bus into town. Walking would take about 15 minutes.
I am more than happy to recommend the Manta on Hay. As long as you keep your expectations in check, you might find that the hotel exceeds them.

Nice but too far from Perth CBD and surrounding streets questionable

Stayed May 2025.
Lovely midrange 1 bedroom unit needed a bit of maintenance. Good price and friendly staff but too far from everything as located in East Perth. You can catch free CAT buses but that adds extra planning and time on to your day. Lots of rundown buildings surrounding accommodation and many local shops shut down and vacant. There were a few unsavoury people skulking around the streets, security guard standing permanently outside BWS speaks volumes. Next time we will stay closer to Perth CBD

I would like to thank Michelle she was so helpful,kind,friendly staff very accommodating the room is very clean close to the city, restaurants, cafe all within walking distance will worth to stay. I wound recommend anyone to stay there. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The location is at the centre of perth, a lot of food choices nearby within 10 mins walk. Unfortunately the room is soundproof badly, whenever others open the doors, we can hear that very clearly.

Perfect spot like home

I had a wonderful experience during my stay. Adi and Michelle at the reception were outstanding—warm, welcoming, and always ready to assist. They truly made me feel at home, and I deeply appreciate their efforts.
The rooms were spotless, and the beds provided excellent comfort for a restful night’s sleep. The Wi-Fi connection was strong and reliable, which was perfect for my needs. Additionally, the kitchen amenities were top-notch, making meal preparations convenient and enjoyable.
I highly recommend this place to anyone seeking a comfortable and hospitable environment.
