A very pleasant experience

After researching many hotels on Bermuda, I settled on St Georges Club Hotel. It was kind of off the beaten path in St Georges but appeared nice. I was not disappointed. It's a short taxi ride from the airport. Check in was fast and the check in ladies were friendly. I was taken to my cottage in a golf cart. The cottage (I called it that) was terrific! It was basically a 1 bedroom apartment. It was clean and cozy. It had a separate bedroom, a large bathroom, full kitchen (refrigerator, stove, oven, coffee maker, microwave, dishes, cooking pans and utensils), a living room and patio. It also has a washer and dryer. I was given an end unit that looked out over the bay and was fairly quiet. The hotel is within walking distance to downtown St Georges which has shops and restaurants. There are a few grocery stores in town that are in walking distance also. Tip: bring your own staples as grocery items are very expensive. I brought my own ground coffee, clothes washing pods and dryer sheets and non perishable snacks). The hotel is a short walk to the bus stop. You can take a bus pretty much everywhere on the island. You can buy bus tickets at a little store at the main bus stop in town. The owners of the shop are very knowledgeable about the buses and will recommend which bus to take to get you where you wish to go. There's also a tourist information store in town where you can buy bus passes and get information. Note: almost all the routes stop at the airport from St Georges so if you wish to save about $20, just walk down to the bus stop (if you don't have alot of luggage) to take the bus directly to the airport for about $4, which I did on my return home. You can also take a very pleasant and scenic walk to the beach. There are several historic sites to see in St. Georges also so don't miss out on them. The hotel is on a hill so you will have a good leg workout if you are walking. There are roaming chickens around so the sound of roosters crowing in the morning was a very nice bonus. There is a pool at the hotel though I didn't use it as the weather was a tad nippy during Christmas week. Note: everything shuts down on Christmas day and on the 26th (Boxing Day) so plan accordingly. Buses still run though on a later schedule. Check out was quick and easy. Note: I was a solo female traveler. I felt very safe at this hotel and actually, all around the island. Locals were very friendly and helpful with information everywhere I went. It was a very pleasant stay there. I would definitely stay at the St Georges Club Hotel again when I return to Bermuda.

A mixed review

We stayed in a 2 bedroom harbour view cottage. The cottage was lovely with an amazing view. It looked recently renovated, had a good kitchen and modern furnishings. There was a twin bedroom downstairs, and a double upstairs. Beds were very comfortable. Overall a lovely space for the price.
The cottage is in walking distance of a petrol station convenience store, and shops and restaurants in St George’s. We highly recommend hiring an electric vehicle from Rugged Rentals (walking distance for collection point). Free EV charging available at the hotel.
One unheated pool was open - we did use it but it was very very cold (March/April).
I was disappointed that the second heated pool was closed for “construction” (although no active work was being undertaken). I appreciate it’s the quiet season for the hotel, but it would be better to have the heated pool open whilst it’s too cold to use the non-heated pool. We were not advised in advance of arrival (despite us being in email comms with reception).
There is no snack bar, shuttle bus or hot showers by the pool as the “season hasn’t started yet”.
Also we were disappointed that despite the resort being largely empty, me and my disabled mother needed to vacate our room at 10am when our flight was 7.50pm. No late check out could be arranged other than paying $250 for another night.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend St George’s club to others. However, they really need to improve the comms and services available year round so that guests don’t feel like they are in a closed hotel.

Immaculate, quiet, convenient

My wife and I are just returning from a truly idyllic week at St George's Club Hotel. Our suit had a wonderful eastward view of the harbor. It was an easy walk to grocery stores, restaurants and beaches. Our unit was immaculately clean and fully furnished with everything we needed for the week. The washer dryer meant we could pack lightly. Everything worked. This was our first visit to Bermuda and we are already plotting our return before even arriving home. There's only one place we'd consider staying --St George's Club Hotel.

The St. Georges Club is unique. Why stay in a hotel with a single room when you can enjoy a cottage - a true home away from home. Bedroom, bath, living room, and a fully equipped kitchen. DeeDee and Amy at the front desk will welcome you and make sure that your vacation is everything it should be.

We loved our stay at St. George's Club! Our cottage was well laid out, super clean, and we had all of the amenities that we needed. The beds were very comfortable and our master bedroom was quite large. The pools were clean, well-maintained and we had a lot of fun enjoying them, especially the heated pool! The staff are amazing. They go out of their way to help you and to make sure you have everything you need while you are there. We will back to visit again soon!
