Our Compliments to the Chef...and Innkeeper!
My husband and I felt like we were in our hometowns when arriving at the Trapper's Choice Inn which we loved. Nick greeted us upon our arrival and was most helpful re: getting us checked in. Our room was comfortable, very clean and quiet. We loved walking across the parking lot for our dinner...and loved our meal so much that we returned for breakfast. Samantha, Jeanine (MG!), Haley (GG!) and Erica were all so personable and kind. A GREAT team and we felt welcomed by all. We are so happy we chose this motel and restaurant for many reasons including the friendly service, nice accommodations and great homecooked meals. Very reasonably priced. Close to the Dent Bay Bakery and Bobby Orr Hall of Fame.

Great value
My family recently stayed in two rooms, both of which were clean although a bit dated. Accommodations are modest but good value. We noticed there was no fan in the bathroom but there didn’t seem to be any mildew/mould build up.
We couldn’t get the tv to work. My partner is good with electronics but we weren’t able to get past the screen that said “no signal.” There were no instructions in the room and the phone didn’t indicate how to contact the front desk. It was later in the evening so we didn’t bother going to the front desk as there was apparently no one there. Not a huge deal for us though and we will definitely return if we pass through again as we’d rather support independent places.
For those who might be concerned about safety (women travelling alone, etc.) we noticed the door doesn’t have a peephole.

A Top Notch Place To Eat and Stay
Last week, September 20th to September 22nd my two sisters, their husbands and
my wife and I had the pleasure of staying in your establishment and were very happy with both your motel and restaurant.
The motel exceeded our expectations completely! The beds were very comfortable, the rooms were very clean and smelled that way as well. The price was great – we are all pensioners. We really enjoyed the overhang as Tuesday, the 21st was raining and we could sit outside under the overhang and visit.
The restaurant served up a meal to die for! It was delicious, and the service top notch. The prices as well very reasonable as well.
We are so happy with your motel and restaurant we are talking about coming back again next year.

Inn Service was Exceptional, Restaurant Service needs Improvement
I had the pleasure of staying at Trapper’s Choice Restaurant & Inn for 4 nights. I found the motel to be very cost effective, clean and the customer service for the Inn was exceptional. The staff was accommodating with requests for more pillows, extending our stay (with last minute notice) and offering advice on local attractions. They cleaned our room daily. I would suggest bringing your own bath towel (their towels are small and thin), but for the price and experience that is nothing to complain about. The downsides to the room were few - bathroom door did not lock, paint chipping under the air conditioner, no light by the desk area (however there was a lamp there for my first visit), the screen door had to be pulled closed and the walls between units are far from sound proof. None of those would make me rethink staying there.
I also had the pleasure of dining in the Trapper’s Choice Restaurant adjacent to the motel for breakfast on 3 of the mornings. Online it mentioned all day breakfast, but the breakfast menu ends promptly at 11:00 am. There is a good breakfast menu, but be cautious ordering as the value is not always there. I ordered the 2 eggs, bacon (3 slices) and home fries which came with 2 pieces of buttered toast for $10.95. My guest ordered the Hungry Trappers Breakfast for $15.95. For the meat he ordered double bacon to which he only received 4 pieces (each visit) and a small pancake with syrup. It was definitely not worth the $5.00 price difference and on our final visit he ordered the same breakfast as me with an additional plate of home fries. Including drinks and the tip a breakfast for 2 averaged about $30.00. Our order was taken promptly and it did not take long for the food to be delivered to our table. But that’s where the service ends. The wait staff did not return to the table to ask if everything was okay or to offer refills on our drinks. I had to leave my seat and approach staff on 2 separate visits to ask for refills or assistance. Staff was often seen huddled and chatting with one another when that time could have been put towards making our experience better. However kudos to the kitchen staff as the food was hot and delicious!
We will definitely be returning to stay in the future.

Its ok, needs repairs
I stayed at Trappers Motel for 1 night. The room was clean and the staff was courteous and friendly. However our room had a few issues. The front screen door didn't close properly, the bathroom door bottom hinge was coming off and the door wouldn't close all the way and we only had 2 bath towels for 4 people. When I realized that, the women at the front office had already left for the night. I didn't eat at the restaurant because it closed at 3pm Sunday afternoon.
