A feel-good place between jungle and Caribbean
After our hike to Ciudad Perdida we were looking for a special hotel with a high standard for relaxing and spent 8 nights in Finca Cuipo.
Communication with Fiona and Helmut was friendly, straightforward and competent from the first contact - we always felt very welcome.
Upon arrival we were still overwhelmed by the wonderful location of the finca, by the symbiosis of nature and thoughtful planning of the complex, by the view, but especially by the authentic warmth of our hosts. We were guests of a wonderful family who live a special life on the mountain with their little magical daughter and have dedicated their hearts fully to their project Finca Cuipo. Every little wish was fulfilled so that we could feel comfortable.
For food: Helmut cooked for us every day very delicious and varied, at the request of a single gentleman even the menu was expanded by 2 desserts.
Our favourite spot was of course by the magnificent pool with unobstructed views of the Caribbean, a magical place to start the new holiday day with morning yoga. In the early evening, we were able to observe even macaws, toucans and iguanas with some patience.
The equipment and cleanliness of our bungalow were very good, Fiona and Helmut also made sure to keep the ecological footprint as low as possible (use of solar / wind energy, self-production of food)
A good starting point for activities. Palomino, Tayrona National Park, Tubing and much more. Just ask Fiona and Helmut.
What a pity that our holiday at Finca Cuipo is over, the wonderful place and the warmth of our host family will hopefully remain in our memory for a long time to come. Thank you so much! Keep it up.

Pure magic – can’t recommend this place enough
The view is absolutely next level. You’re up in the hills, with jungle all around, and the sea stretching out in front of you. We could’ve spent all day just sitting there watching the light change. No noise, no stress. Just peace.
The cabin was beautiful. Super cozy, but not in a kitschy way – just really well done. Everything has been thought through, from the layout to the materials to the little details.
And then there’s the atmosphere – so relaxed, so easy. You settle in instantly. The hosts are warm and chill, super helpful but never in your face. It’s like staying with really good friends who happen to have built the dreamiest spot on earth.
If you’re looking for an extraordinary place to unwind and explore the area – Palomino, Tayrona, Sierra Nevada – seriously, don’t look any further. This is it.

An extraordinary experience!
High up in the Sierra Nevada mountains, this place may seem difficult to reach, but no worries! Helmut and Fiona will guide you... And maybe even in your language, if your Spanish is mediocre.
Since there are only 3 beautiful cabins, the service is very personalized. The food, homemade and fusion cuisine, inspired by Helmut and Fiona’s many trips around the world, brings a beautiful addition to the stay!
For us, this is simply the best accommodation experience we have ever had in Colombia!
