Perfectly relaxing holiday
All the staff at this hotel work hard and are always smiling and saying ‘hola’
I didn’t use the pools as swam in the ocean
most days. I felt safe as there is a lifeguard at the beach but it’s also possible to swim where the water is not too deep. The water was perfect for swimming in April and so clear too, goggles are a must so you can see the little fish near the rocks.
Food and drink at this hotel were top notch as was the Japanese restaurant. We were lucky to get the last booking before it closed for renovation. At the buffet there was something for everyone and the desserts were so delicious and hard to just have one!!
I used the spa for the circuit which was nice and relaxing but could be better if it was a little warmer, the steam room didn’t give out much steam and there was no relaxing music playing in the actual spa. There was some in the reception area . Also, would be nice to have a water dispenser within the spa and not outside near the toilets. I still enjoyed it and found it relaxing.
We hope to come back to this beautiful hotel once it has been refurbished. I hope the staff you have will be retained as they are truly wonderful!! So refreshing to see the same staff that worked at the hotel last year.
As a side note, this hotel is not really suitable for children 1+ Not much for them to do in the hotel and resort.

Mixed opinion
The big disappointment was the room!
Connecting rooms with terrace have a view of a noisy road... passing cars day and night, if you are fragile sleep: forget it.
I did the Check in online: we had to do it all again when we arrived ...
We are put all in bracelets by mistake while we are half board, the 4 of us are cut back for a change.
Luggage is left unattended in a room at the entrance.
Nothing is clear about what is included or not in half board.
The coffee capsules in the room are offered by 6, then you have to pay for them! I’ve never seen it in a 5*
The spa is paid (for all) and not worth it
The Japanese restaurant is good, but we could only go once on the stay.
The buffet is varied and of very good quality.
Every day with a different theme and clear indication of allergens.
The large swimming pool is not heated
The room was large and clean.
There is a lack of storage, especially places to hang wet towels in the bathroom...
Everything is clean at pool level
There are filtered water fountains in the corridors.
It’s still a bit of a tourist factory (German, let’s say) and you have to love the concepts all in ...
So hotel quite correct but 4* in my opinion

Still a hotel in the best location
The location of the hotel is great, the Star Prestige rooms and the Star Prestige area as well. The following results in a negative evaluation:
- The Japanese was already closed 1 week before closing, so you could not use it at all.
- During the last week, the food offered during the day at Star Prestige was very sparse.
- In the last few weeks, especially in the last days before the closure, this was also noticeable in the food.
- The cafe trolley in general. Pool area had already stopped about 1.5 weeks before closing.
Certainly it is difficult to drive a hotel to the last day in full operation. Since this certainly does not succeed, it is better to communicate it in advance and not charge the regular price.
Here, IBEROSTAR has destroyed a lot of trust.
