A lot of bang for your buck

We checked in easily with a pleasant front desk staff member on a not so busy Monday night. Our room was clean, comfortable, quiet, and a good deal for a total of $111.
Too tired to leave and unwilling to face the unseasonably chilly winds, we opted for the ease of the on site restaurant & bar. We savy travelers know what to expect: mediocre menu options with a limited bar. That was all we needed, along with friendly servers and a relaxing atmosphere, perfect after a long day of travel.

Traveling with pets can be really hard, but our fur babies were welcomed with open arms & had nice grassy spaces to tend their business. Room was clean & beds super comfy. The restaurant offered a nice selection for dinner & they were kind enough to bring our order to the room.

The hotel was nice, clean, and located right off the highway, which helped us get to things. However, the pool has been down for a year now and there is no sign or indication of when it will be fixed.
We had no indication of the pool situation when we booked or we would have went somewhere else for the sake of our kids. Thankfully there was a nice park 10 minutes away that we found that salvaged things a bit.
We also dont like the fact that breakfast isnt included, but I was aware of that when I booked...having a Walmart and Dunkin helped with that.
Overall, the hotel was nice and staff was friendly, but if you are loo for a pool, id call before you book because they don't know when it will be fixed

The hotel looks as if it needs cleaned and remodeled. Furniture in lobbies dirty and worn and the furniture in our room had trim popping out of material.

First question- why are there only 2 reviews of this hotel from the past two years? Are they being scrubbed? We last stayed at this hotel 3 years ago and said “never again” even though we travel this path often. We optimistically assumed this decrepit relic of a Hilton must have been renovated by now so we took a chance and stopped again. Big mistake. It’s only gotten worse. We entered the room to be smacked in the face with what can only be described as “wet dog” smell. The furnishings are from a 1990’s time capsule collection. Lamps and shades are all mismatched. The stained, sagging and filthy couch looked like it had been pulled from a dumpster. Carpet was stained. Wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling. Bathtub was stained brown - no scrubbing would remove it. We stood dumbfounded for a few minutes debating whether or not to walk out and only stayed because the sheets appeared clean and it was late at night, we’d spent hours on the road and we were tired. No one is going to deem this an acceptable hotel. It needs to close.
The lady who checked us in was very nice and pleasant.
Our Hilton status was not recognized.
Any of the old rave reviews from years past literally have to have been written by the owners friends and family.
