Nice place, good location, great staff but.........
It is very centrally located; conference center and promenade can be reached on foot within 15 minutes.
The reception was professional.
Our room no. 424 was very bright - through several windows and well equipped.
The bathroom was large and spacious (however, the flushing of the toilet did not work particularly well).
The main toiletries were available.
The bed, mattresses , cushions and blankets were very pleasant; you could sleep heavenly in them.
Cleaning was done once a day.
The staff was very friendly and helpful.
The staff in the restaurant where we had breakfast are particularly noteworthy.
Particularly attentive was the gentleman, who stood at the reception of the breakfast room "The Grill" on May 22nd at 7am, the waitress Paulina, Mr José Tejada, a second Jose- actually all!
Friendly, helpful, cheerful!
The concierge, the recipers and the cleaning team also made an effort.
Staying at the hotel would have been very nice if we had not disturbed some things in the financial charge.
We had booked the hotel at a fixed price through a platform; then strange "hotel taxes" called occupancy/private appeared on the bill, which amounted to about 700 dollars for a week.
This was never seen anywhere before and I can't imagine it being legally covered.
In the alleged total price that we booked from the platform on, our room rate also included breakfast.
It turned out that we received a credit of 70 dollars per day for two people, but every juice, every coffee, every tea, every vegetable, cheese, cereal, fruit.....everything was charged individually.
The financial charge at the hotel "The US Grant" is opaque, confusing; for this reason we will not come again, although we found the room, the location nice and the majority of the staff very good and we would have returned safely without these negative points.
