Relaxation facing the sea, diving and feet in the sand...
Welcoming team, spacious rooms with air conditioning and atypical decoration (some) from a book by JK.R.
Bar - On-site restaurant with a simple but ample menu.
Cherry on the cake, diving club on site with departures at 9am so you can enjoy a breakfast on the beach before going into the water.
In short, come to the Old Castle, stay there 3 or 4 days and disconnect completely or send your emails from their terrace on the beach...

What a legend! And cold COLD beers!
We got here at night for a couple of drinks and pizza. We’d learnt not to expect much from the speed of service at our actual hotel (not here) but were so happy we decided to come.
We got here after dark so couldn’t experience the view (which is probably epic) but despite this, and despite there being a handful of people here, with quick service, accommodating staff and rock classics in the background, this is the most vibe we’d felt so far in the Philippines.
The bar/restaurant is also on the sand so there are plenty of hermit crabs to look for and sandcastles for the kids to build.
Naturally we hadn’t brought a bucket but the accommodating staff were more than happy to bring us a plastic container that worked a treat and kept the kids entertained for hours.
Pizza was good, beers come in a frozen beer mug meaning they come out ice cold and stay cold. But to top it all off, we stayed here till around 8pm, expecting we’d be able to get a tuk tuk back to our resort…
Big mistake! There were no tuk tuks around and the owner Michael, tried a few numbers he had for us but to no avail.
We also tried to call out resort a handful
of times to see if they could send a driver but no answer.
Not fancying our chances in the road, Michael grabbed his car keys and insisted on driving us home in the dark. Would have been 40 minute walk and true to Michael’s intuition, we saw a total of zero tuk tuks on the way.
We’re ever so thankful and if you get the chance, you should definitely check this place out (and make sure you have a taxi option in advance if it’s low season!)
I’d suggest getting there early evening so you can also take in the sunset.
Prices are also extremely reasonable for a 12” pizza (that we all loved) so I don’t agree with another comment here about pricing
Thanks again! Total legends ❤️

Magical - Absolute paradise
Old Castle is located on the beach at Quinale beach, the side of the public beach.
You can choose to sit in the courtyard of the Old Castle, in the bar or on their beachfront in the sand.
There are chairs and tables on the beach, two beach chairs and also a hammock.
From the restaurant you have a magical view of the beach and the sea.
There is a calm and nice vibe at the Old castle, and the beach bar plays good music.
You can also rent accommodation here, but we had already booked accommodation before we came to Anda, so unfortunately we cannot leave a review about the accommodation.
THE RESTAURANT
Mixed menu, and there is something for everyone.
We got hooked on their pizza (hawaii) and their pancit canton. Both dishes became favorites with us.
THE STAFF
Super nice staff, and the owner was very nice and helpful in answering all sorts of questions we had about Anda.
We wanted to snorkel, and one of the days we got to rent snorkel gear and got tips on where to go for good snorkelling.
The owner's dog is part of the staff and he was as kind as can be! Those of us who love dogs thought it was a nice addition to the bar :)
We will definitely return here one day, because this was truly a magical place!
