The only thing to mention, just because I remember specifically about the bathroom, the toilet's heat function wasn't working. I was assured of this after we went to a different hotel and it worked well. But in total, this place was amazing. Microwave in the waiting room, close to 2 different 7/11's, and the beds were comfortable and well-priced. Will come again. The water pressure in the bathroom was phenomenal.

Stolen Wallet, No Security

When my wallet got stolen, I asked the owner to look at the security footage and there weren't any cameras except for a nannycam pointed at the back door which fed to the owner's smartphone. Trust me, if you think it's a camera, it isn't if it's not inside the first floor (and many of those aren't cameras either). I was staying in a private room. I returned at 4:30 and didn't leave the whole night. I had my wallet on me when I got back, but the owner tried to delete the proof of that. He asked me if I wanted to see 4:30AM or PM and he switched to the settings screen and toggled something in Recording Schedule, leaving only midnight to 9AM. The police took the SD card out of the webcam and found 10PM to 9AM which indicates a sloppy attempt to delete. If any of the security measures they advertised were real, my wallet would have easily been found.
I originally posted my texts with him from booking dot com. I don't know if tripadvisor will permit them, but I hope they do. Other guests have dealt with thefts too.
This place is only cheap if you don't consider what might get taken.
On top of that, this hostel doesn't feel like a hostel because so many people live there. Other places in the neighborhood are slightly more expensive and have private bathrooms and TVs and stuff. I would stay elsewhere if you have a choice.

Beware!!!

The bathroom floors are always damp. A poster that implies there's cameras recording in bathroom areas. Once saw a paying guest taking care of the kitchen garbage, which involved hauling it over 5 floors to the roof. Most live here permanently. If you want to use the common area, you will feel like you are trespassing in someone's house.
Spent a lot of money to have my luggage stored ($100!) and then no one answered the phone about picking it up. I left dozens of messages. When my stuff got stolen and I called the police the owner had the staff try and publicly humiliate me by refusing to store my luggage anymore, deliberately in front of a 'resident.'
Other people will use or take your things, and it is possible they undercharge because staff steals and resells guest property. Stay away.

Just no

The day I checked out this one guy was coughing in the kitchen and my heart dropped into my stomach. There's no social distancing or anything in the common area.
I didn't personally have anything stolen, but the stuff you hear about is really hard to ignore. Take all your valuables to the shower with you, sleep on top of them.
The people who live here are always talking about you when you leave the room.

Traveler beware

This is a place where stuff goes missing, even from your locked room! Do not trust the staff, nor the nanny cam they might show you. If you involve the police in the matter, make sure they check the safe behind the desk for the camera recordings on sd cards but also for your stolen items! If you have no choice but to stay in that place, keep your valuables and passport on you at all times.
