Great place to stay
it is a perfect place:
- The rooms are nice, clean and comfortable
- Breakefast is very good
- The staff are friendly and helpfull
- The location is excellent (5 minutes walking from night and morning markets and 3 minutes from the Makong)

Comfortable, clean, perfect location - one of our best stays in SE Asia
The couple who own this hotel actually have two houses in the main street. We stayed at the one called "Vishay," which is a little further from the river. No matter, the river is very close by for morning and evening walks.
The room we were given is large, comfortable and really beautiful, with lots of stained wood and two nice cane chairs for relaxing. The bed is amazingly comfortable, with good pillows (pillows in SE Asia are often too high and too hard) and lovely soft linens. Lots of storage space, which we really appreciated -- it let us settle and feel like it was easy to stay in the room for a long time, longer than we'd actually allowed for.
The room has been cleaned every morning we've been here, which has meant clean towels daily -- a nice luxurious touch. Everything in here works -- the hot water in the shower, the other plumbing, the fan, AC, every electrical socket, electric kettle, etc. This standard of maintenance isn't so usual in our experience (two-plus years of continual travel). We appreciate the mosquito screens on the windows, too.
The hosts here are wonderful, and the staff, too. Friendly, kind, helpful, non-intrusive. They make us feel so welcome.
We opted for breakfast at the hotel, and I'm so glad we did. I can't eat the eggs or the pancake (contains egg), but my husband enjoyed both and I loved the fruit we got every morning -- always fresh and delicious. There's all the coffee, tea or cocoa you could possibly want, and also packets of premixed coffee you can take up to your room for that oh-so-welcome first cup of caffeine in the early AM, before breakfast. Mugs and water glasses are provided in the room, along with the electric kettle. Clean drinking water is also provided to guests for free from a large jug, so you can refill your own water bottles (much more ecological than buying bottles all the time).
The location is great -- not particularly noisy (occasional catfights while we've been here) and late at night is really quiet, so we've slept very well. We're close to one of the most interesting temples in town, and very near the night market, which is fun, as well as the riverside. Easy to walk to all of Luang Prabang's most interesting sights.
All in all, this has been a really wonderful stay and I look forward to coming back. Highly recommended.

Shelter from the storm
The cocktails were great, and if you hit the timing right, you can take advantage of the 30% Happy Hour discount. We had the Herbal Forest (vodka, lemon grass and ginger) - very refreshing and Margueritas. Thanks for providing a nice place to ride out the storm!

Feel at home place
The owners are super friendly and can arrange everything for you.Good breakfast on the terrace.

Clean and friendly but no window in room
I would recommend of you don't mind these two issues in return for a clean and comfortable room.
