Cosy hotel with good vibes where dogs are warmly welcome

We arrived at the hotel with both our dogs. We were warmly received in the reception by a nice lady. Here we got quick and good information about the hotel, meal times and assigned room key. The room was on the 1st floor in the old part of the hotel and was completely standard with lovely hot bath and shower. The room was fit large with twin beds, desk, TV and a small seating area. Everything was clean and neat both in the room and elsewhere in the hotel. In the restaurant they served a very tasty varied dinner buffet where the most was homemade and consisted of Asian dishes, Norwegian traditional food, baked salmon and local wild meat. Stores of div spekemat, fish and salad and a varied dessert table. All this brings the hotel’s guests to the net impressive price of NOK 195. The restaurant has a varied wine chart at very affordable prices. The chef's homemade carbonades were unparalleled and highly recommended! Staff are gentle, friendly and efficient. The hotel is new, but has retained a very lush and cosy atmosphere in the common area. If you want to walk to the city centre, there is a short walk in 2-3 minutes.
As a guest and dog owner, I can recommend Dombås Hotel with my hand on my heart.

Useful Hotel

Dombas is on the main junction of the E7 and E136. It has ski slopes. Needed an overnight stop off on the way to the coast. Friendly service. Nice open spaces, lift was being repaired while we were there. They do an evening buffet which is excellent value. Breakfast was good. Our room was clean, warm and comfortable, nice hot shower. Plentiful parking. Would definitely stay here again.

Should be better.

The motel section is less equipped than a solitary confinement cell in any prison.
Beds are ok
Responsive between rooms, it can be heard very clearly when someone snores.
No bedside tables and no sockets by the bed.
Breakfast is quite ok if you are there after 0700 before then is not so fantastic.

Overnight stay in Dombas.

The nice Dombås hotel is located on the westside of downtown Dombås. The hotel consist of two parts that are connected, one from the 1970s and the other one from 2014. In total the hotel has 99 rooms. In addition to the hotel there is also a motel, Dombåstun. The motel is located about 200-300 meters behind the hotel with rooms that were renovated in 2018. In the motel there is wifi and each room has it's own private bathroom. The hotel is within walking distance of the village center. And located in a rural area, good rooms, with good beds and varied breakfast. We also stayed here one night. This hotel has as facilities: a Gym - Sauna - Bar -and Tv premier league. We were very satisfied with this accommodation, it is worth recommending.

Friendly staff. What does stand out is the breakfast buffet (though everything was not available at the beginning of breakfast, but just show up 1/2 hour after opening) and the dinner buffet. Good food at a very reasonable price.
