Wonderful Family Stay at Hampton by Hilton, Ashford International

We recently stayed at the Hampton by Hilton in Ashford International as a family and had a truly relaxing and enjoyable break. From the moment we arrived, the hotel impressed us with its cleanliness, comfort, and friendly atmosphere.
The rooms were spacious and very comfy, and we especially loved the amazing rainforest shower – it was powerful, refreshing, and a real treat after a day out. The gym was also a great feature, well-equipped and perfect for a quick workout.
Breakfast each morning was a real highlight, with plenty of choice and everything fresh and well presented. A big thank you to Albert and his team for running it so smoothly and making us feel welcome each day.
The location was ideal for exploring. We were just a short walk from the Curious Brewery, where we enjoyed delicious food and drinks, and even had the option of a brewery tour. We also walked to the Ashford Designer Outlet, which had a great range of shops, coffee spots, and food outlets – perfect for a relaxed afternoon out.
Thank you to everyone at Hampton by Hilton Ashford International for making our family break so enjoyable. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again!

What a waste!!!

Rude front of house who was more interested in the drunk women instead of focusing on checking us in.
Noise levels during the night led to a sleepless night.
When brought to the attention of reception in the morning, they couldn’t care less.
There was no apology. No empathy.
Breakfast was not fresh and was told nothing more would be made even though there was plenty of time before end of serving.
What a waste!!!

Cleand and modern but hidden costs

Clean, quiet, breakfast is OK but they don't like to tell you about the 12.50 a night parking charge. It says its a 'public' car park but it's patently not and belongs to them. So that's an extra 25 quid for 2 nights. Fine in a big city but this is Ashford!!

A very comfortable stay

We stayed here for one night due to work commitments. The hotel seemed brand new, despite having been open a couple of years.
Check in was smooth and we had called a few days before to reserve a parking space. There were plenty of spaces when we first arrived, but having been out for work and come back at around 9.30pm, there were only one or two spaces left. However, having pre-booked the space the reception team made it clear they would come up with a solution should there have been no spaces left.


Our room was well laid out in the new HbH format, with a large television and large bed. The sofa area is a nice area to relax/work, but there is also a small desk for those who prefer to work upright. I still enjoy seeing the mini Smeg fridges and they are good for keeping drinks cold. The bathroom layout is fine and the enclosed showers here are very good.


Breakfast was the usual HbH standard and a decent way to set you up for the day. 

The hotel is only a short walk from the centre of town, should you wish to get out and about and is even closer to Ashford International station. 


All in all, a well designed and located hotel that I would be happy to stay at again should I need to be in Ashford.

Door left wide open by cleaners

Travelled here on my own for work, the room was clean and the facilities and breakfast were good. However I came back to my room after being out all day and my door had been left fully open by the cleaners. I realise this is a genuine mistake however my things could have been stolen, anyone could have been in there and it left me feeling very unsettled and unsafe, especially due to me being there on my own. I contacted reception who came and had a look and were apologetic however nothing else was done after this. It made me not want to stay there for the rest of the week.

All our guest room doors are fitted with automatic closing mechanisms designed to ensure they cannot remain open unless something is physically obstructing them. In your case, after you raised the issue with our reception team, we did attempt to replicate the situation in your presence. The door consistently closed and latched on its own as intended, which suggests this was an extremely rare malfunction or an isolated instance where something may have briefly prevented it from closing fully.
That said, we absolutely understand how concerning this must have been, and we sincerely apologize again for the incident. Your comfort and peace of mind are very important to us, and we are reviewing this matter internally to prevent any future occurrences.
