Authentic hostel & kind receptionist

A pretty and authentic place. Our private room was very clean. The receptionist was happy to give us advices for our WE in Hangzhou. The hostel rent bikes. I really recommend this hostel for a nature break

I definitely don't recommend it!!!

I slept in dorms in this hostel, but I definitely don't recommend it! The room was opened all the time, everyone had access to it, the bed was very uncomfortable, I think it was hand made but by the person who has no idea about carpentry, I am afraid that the bedclothes was not clean. Summarizing I wanted to spend 3 nights there, but decided to leave next day morning.

Good surprise

Stayed here for three nights after being walked out from first hostel due to online booking glitch with Booking.com. Was grateful that the first hostel referred Daisy Hostel as alternative. Love the warm hospitality provided by the owner and staff. Was given a room with a balcony. Assisted on bookings for return train ticket back to Shanghai, the light show, tips on local attractions. Hostel is located in the greenery but not too far away from the West Lake. Would stay here again if returning to Hangzhou.

Awesome place and good value.

It was a very cosy and nice hostel. We shared a mixed six-people room. We were three female friends and stayed for two days. Staff members spoke English, they were very helpful and good fun. They told us about their culture, the different tourist attractions around and gave us a map. We had a good breakfast there and hire bikes from them at a good price. Highly-recommended accommodation.
Added incentive, they had both Chinese and "normal" toilets.

Very good, surprising little hostel

A very good value hostel, with very large clean rooms with A/C (but to be fair, every hostel stayed in had A/C). Food also good value, surprising collection of Belgian beers, alongside the usual cheap local lagers. The only slight negative is that it is a little far out, being a couple mins south of XiHu, but this is negated by the handy bus (get off at the zoo then walk back up the road). The best part about this hostel has to be the lady that runs it, who was very helpful and lent us a map for our visit. The area is very quiet, with other hostels around, despite being near a main road. When we checked in, they were busy with people trying to get last minute rooms due to G20 cancellations, but I get the impression it is not usually busy - which is a shame! One of the best sleeps I had in China!
